Secret to Flawless Skin!

I have done a ton of research on anti-aging products and what I’ve found is that dermatologists agree on one thing: The only anti-ager on the market that has proven again and again to reduce fine lines and wrinkles is tretinoin, a derivative of Vitamin A which is commonly known as Retin-A.

Retin-A is a derivative used for anti-aging. While Retin-A remains a medication to treat acne, lots of new products were created specifically to fight wrinkles. The change in the pH level of the skin caused by just a few uses of a Vitamin A product such as Retin-A can help generate collagen. Collagen is the key to healthy skin that tends to age well. For those having acne and want to try it do not panic during the first few weeks of using tretinoin, your acne might appear worse because the medication is working on pimples forming inside the skin. It may take up to 8-12 weeks to notice results from this medication. So just be patient! 🙂

Vitamin A really cuts down on the wrinkles, perhaps better than any other type of skin product. Keep in mind that you shouldn’t expose skin to the sun when using Retin-A. You should avoid tretinoin products if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant because it could cause birth defects. Also, start slowly with this product, which initially can cause redness, peeling and flaking. Too many women give up after just a couple weeks because they are alarmed by the initial effects of tretinoin. Start by using it twice a week, then slowly move to every other day until your skin adjusts.

Skin can become irritated while on Retin-A, if you find your skin has become dry and reddened, stop your skincare regimen and slather on extra virgin olive oil at night before you go to bed. This medication is available in different strengths and forms (e.g., gel, cream, solution). The best type of medication for you to use will depend on the condition of your skin. If you have any doubt talk to your dermatologist. And most importantly use a sunscreen daily, and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Wait until your skin has completely recovered from a sunburn before using tretinoin.

Hope this post helps ladies! 🙂
